Drama
In our Drama courses offered at Sacred Heart college, students learn performance elements using dramatic conventions, techniques, and technologies to create imagined worlds. Students will learn to use spoken word and written language with confidence and control to communicate effectively through body language, movement, and space. As they perform, analyse, and respond to drama and theatre, students will gain a deeper understanding of our rich cultural heritage in Aotearoa and beyond. As students progress they delve more deeply into the impact Drama has on thier world and use complex perfromance skills to communicate their understanding,.
There are also opportunities to perform in our Musical Production each year along with our brother school, St John’s College or at other special occasions such as at our Arts Awards Evening in Term 4.
